Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a growth and change environment, helping us transition towards a more global and automated focus. This role requires full stack knowledge, experience in global scale product ownership, and the ability to integrate mechanical and software development.
ResponsibilitiesWork with stakeholders to identify and define product requirements and specifications.Develop and maintain a product backlog, prioritizing features based on customer needs and business goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA, to ensure product requirements are met.Communicate product vision, goals, and progress to stakeholders and team members.Work with the Scrum Master to ensure Agile processes are followed and the product is delivered on time and within budget.Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with the product vision and is ready for implementation.Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Plan and manage releases, setting clear goals and priorities for each release to meet business objectives.Work closely with the development team, providing clear and concise user stories, answering questions, and ensuring the team has a shared understanding of the product.Participate in Sprint Planning, helping the team select and commit to user stories for the upcoming Sprint.Define acceptance criteria for user stories and participate in user story review and acceptance testing, ensuring the delivered product meets the defined criteria.Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates, gathering feedback, and aligning development efforts with business goals.Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may affect the successful delivery of the product.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar roleBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldStrong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and KanbanAbility to prioritize and manage product backlog to meet customer needs and business goalsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product roadmap and strategyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisionsExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and requirementsAdditional Skills & QualificationsAdaptability and Growth Mindset: Open to change and capable of driving the company's transition to a more global and automated focusFull Stack Knowledge: Experience in full stack development, understanding the impacts from devices, backend, and cloud, ensuring they can work across different areas without being siloedGlobal Scale Product Ownership: Experience in managing products on a global scale, with a strong understanding of product development and ownershipSAFe Implementation: Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to help implement and manage agile practices within the companyMechanical and Software Integration: Awareness of the company's mechanical roots and the ability to bridge the gap between mechanical and software developmentIoT and Automation: Knowledge of IoT and automation, as the company is moving towards integrating these technologies into their productsCollaboration with Global Teams: Ability to work effectively with a global team, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across different regionsWork Environment
You will be working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage user stories and Kanban boards. The role requires close communication with global teams and adherence to Agile practices to ensure seamless product delivery.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
