About the Role:
Collective is on a mission to revolutionize the way solopreneurs run their businesses, and we’re looking for an experienced Product & Privacy Counsel to join our lean but mighty legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the legal framework that enables innovation and growth while managing regulatory risk.

⚒️ Responsibilities:
Strategic Product Counseling: Serve as the go-to legal advisor for product and eng, ensuring our solutions balance innovation with compliance in a user-friendly way. User-Facing Legal Terms: Draft, refine, and humanize our terms of service, privacy policies, and user agreements, making them clear, approachable, and confidence-inspiring. Delightful Efficiency: Build scalable legal processes (templates, playbooks, self-serve tools) that empower teams to move fast and smart. Privacy by Design: Lead our privacy initiatives, proactively addressing CCPA/CPRA, GLBA, and other regulatory frameworks while driving a privacy-first culture within the company. Cross-functional Innovation: Work across departments to identify opportunities where legal expertise can drive product innovation.
