SUMMARY
This position is to manage and lead the development of the technical and quality requirements to meet the success of our private label direct import programs and services. The Product Quality Engineering Manager works in parallel and in partnership with the Taipei Sourcing Team and USA Quality Team throughout the life span of the product line assigned. By leading a Product Quality Engineer, he/she develops technical strategies that include the processes and resources required, short- and long-term improvement opportunities, and direct the creation and development of operation procedures for the category assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering Manager for the product categories assigned including leading, managing, and guiding a junior engineer.Participate in project job scope and lead-time discussion meetings and facilitate the decision-making processes. Lead internal teams in establishing product requirements and standards in accordance with the project objectives.Manage technical training and development plans for the Quality Engineer.Support and supervise the product validation reports, product testing reports, and inspection protocol completed by the Quality Engineer.Initiate and manage long term product and process continuous improvement opportunities/strategies and building blocks.QUALIFICATIONS
Fluency in the product development processes and working environment of private label programs for aftermarket automotive parts and accessories.Ability to collaborate and lead different team members on project-based activities, manage and balance cost, time, and quality cost constraints.Strong quality problem-solving skills and troubleshoot relevant project matters, factory product and manufacturing quality issues.Ability to build in-depth technical knowledge and processes for the product category assigned.Capable of communicating and collaborating in an English cultural environment, read and write fluency in Mandarin Chinese.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or relevant engineering degree.Minimum 7 years engineering working experience, leadership experience, and managerial role.California Residents click below for Privacy Notice:
