**Job Description**
The role is responsible for managing the sales of specific products within the company's portfolio. It involves developing sales strategies, identifying market opportunities, building relationships with customers, and achieving sales targets for the assigned product range, as well as owning new product launch in the region to ramp up new product sales . The Product Sales Manager works closely with the sales team, application engineering team, product engineering team, operations and other stakeholders to drive sales growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
**Job Responsibilities**
• Manages product level sales growth programs supporting the regional sales teams
• Coordinates activities with Account Managers around pricing strategies for valves in China including comparison with the competition.
• Participates in a cross-functional team to manage the product line.
• Interfaces with both the China Industrial Sales Team and HY/CT Sales Team(Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers) – with the primary function to offer technical and commercial support for Valves.
• Sponsors major and minor new product and business growth programs including research, identification of potential, specification, financial analysis, resource requirements, and presentation to appropriate levels of management – as required.
• Lead new product launch in the region and be responsible for NPD commercial success
• Participates in localizaiton, PDP and Rationalization activities to support BU level funded technology projects. Participation includes ownership of marketing action items as well as general leadership of the ‘direction’ of initiatives. Propose prioritization of engineering development activities for Distributor market.
• Work with Team Members to maintain the integrity of the product line price structure of product and features with respect to market and competitive considerations.
• Work with Team Members to maintain current status on competitive products, and other threats to product line sales.
• Work with Team Members to manage schedule and content of product catalogs of new and updated product families.
**Background & Skills**
• Bachelor’s degree required - preferably in a business or technical field; MBA a plus.
• 8+ years’ experience in direct sales, and/or business development within the Hydraulics Industries
• 3-5 Years of channel management experience
• Thorough knowledge of selling methods and techniques of the markets served.
• Sales administration knowledge including product price estimation, compensation policies and forecasting.
• Experience interfacing with multiple functions within an operation (engineering, supply chain, marketing, etc.).
• Must be capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing the sales opportunity funnel and work well with support team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English is a plus
• Excellent negotiation skills, strong presentation skills.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally if required.
