We are currently seeking a **Product Service Engineer** to join our Command for Hauling, MineStar Solutions team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting a global fleet of autonomous mining trucks, ensuring best-in-class performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing and resolving issues related to MineStar software and onboard machine hardware, collaborating closely with customers, dealers, and diverse internal teams to deliver effective solutions. Continuous learning and professional growth are key aspects of this role, and specialized training will be provided to the successful applicant to support their development. **What You’ll Do** + Provide hands-on technical expertise to analyse issues, communicate corrective actions, and escalate priorities for MineStar software and hardware. + Use structured support processes to respond, restore, and resolve customer issues. + Act as a strong advocate for both customers and dealers, ensuring their needs and challenges are effectively communicated to internal engineering teams to drive impactful solutions. + Identify and drive continuous product improvement opportunities, including functional enhancements and serviceability improvements. + Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and contribute to product field testing and validation. + Participate in field follow testing and validation programs, monitoring product performance, gathering insights, and ensuring real-world effectiveness of solutions. + Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement ICA and PCA solutions, executing field fixes and product support programs to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. + Provide feedback on the development of technical service documentation for MineStar Technology Solutions to ensure accuracy, clarity and usability for customer and service teams. + Engage with cross-functional teams on product related incident investigations as required. + Generate system and site reports tracking product performance and insights. **What You’ll Need to Succeed** **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** + Experience providing first-line technical support for enterprise-level applications. + Strong background in problem management and root cause analysis for complex software and hardware systems. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact and build strong relationships with global teams and customers. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as an integral part of local and global teams in a fast-paced environment. + Self-starter with a pro-active mindset, taking initiative to tackle challenges and drive effective solutions forward. + Programming and scripting knowledge. + Expertise in Windows Server and client platforms, Virtual Machines (VMs), SQL Server, Oracle, and TCP/IP networking. + Experience in mining or heavy earthmoving industries is a benefit, but not required. **Why Join Us?** + At Caterpillar, you’ll work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, tackling challenges that shape the future of mining automation.
