What You Will Do


We are seeking Software Developers to contribute to 5G and 5G Advanced solution development at Ericsson's Seoul R&D site. This role provides a unique opportunity to work within the Traffic Control Product Responsible Team, acting as product guardians who ensure software quality and provide coaching to software designers.
You will be involved in the full lifecycle of Traffic Control software features:

Early Phases: Analyzing solutions and setting requirements.Development Phase: Coding and testing.Deployment Phase: Supporting customer teams with live network implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop RAN solutions for eNB and gNB, focusing on 5G and advanced technologies.Contribute to Traffic Control software development for RAN solutions.Uphold product quality within the Product Responsible domain team.Drive continuous improvement of products and processes.Collaborate with global R&D teams.Potentially take on diverse roles, such as Product Leader, System Management, Software Design, and Functional Verification.Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance software development processes.

Required Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Wireless Telecommunication Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (C/C++ preferred) and/or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell/Bash) on UNIX/Linux.Technical Knowledge: Understanding of wireless communication and radio networks.Mindset: Passion for continuous improvement and innovation.Eagerness: Willingness to learn new concepts and broaden your experience.Communication: Strong written and spoken English, with confidence in international settings.

 

Competencies of Extra Value (Not Mandatory):

Knowledge of mobile network architecture (4G/5G), including interfaces, protocols, and functions.Familiarity with AI & Machine Learning.Cloud Native Competencies, including microservices and containers (e.g., Docker).Experience in software engineering or development, including multi-threaded programming.Understanding of 3GPP standard specifications (L1/L2/L3 protocols and functions).Proficiency or willingness to learn programming for open-platform, real-time, and highly available systems, as well as scripting.Knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies.
