Job description
We are currently hiring a highly motivated Product Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of our regulatory reporting applications under minimal supervision.
You will work in a distributed cross-functional Agile/Scrum development team.
You will assist in developing new software and modifying existing features to fit specialized needs and configurations, and maintain program libraries and technical documentation.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
Develop new functionality and maintain/improve existing features
Design and develop high quality, high performance and secure software applications
Develop applications with a creative and technical mind
Work in cross-functional Scrum development team
Leverage the functionality and capabilities provided by the solution and focus on delivering business value to the customers
Analyze product requirements and design solutions according to company standards and techniques
Contribute to estimating development efforts
Participate in peer code reviews (using tooling), customer support
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Informatics Economics, Applied Informatics or a related field
2+ years of working experience as a Software Engineer
Experience with programming languages like C/C++, Java, etc.
Experience with scripting languages like VB Script, etc.
Relational databases working experience (Oracle and/or MS SQL)
Experience with Agile/SCRUM development techniques
Experience with GIT, Team City, Maven and environment configuration will be a plus
Good written and spoken English
Responsible, well organized and self-motivated
Strong communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to integrate and work in a multicultural team and in a fast-paced development and delivery organization
Problem solving skills and the ability to learn quickly
