Product Specialist

Specific requirements and responsibilities:

Product Portfolio:

Work closely with customers to provide conveyor design via PT Wizard and project quotations based on customer requests and specifications. Manage projects from order entry to delivery at customer sites. Coordinate quotations for price and delivery associated with new business opportunities between field sales, customers, and manufacturing plants. Conduct in-person product training for customers, distributors, and new CAPT’s. Participate in the development of catalogs, electronic tools/PT Wizard, and other collateral support. In conjunction with their Application Engineering counterpart(s), implement reverse engineering. Communicate initiatives and documents and communicate to field sales and/or the marketplace as appropriate. Understand our go-to-market strategy and how Dodge can provide system solutions for our customers.

Business Management:

Ensure that new business opportunities meet established financial goals. Completely understand product costs and manufacturing capabilities. Secure and develop cost analysis for modified product opportunities. Understand and manage established customer pricing based on current costs and project specifications. Operate within legal guidelines as outlined in RBC business and ethics policies.

Customers and Markets:

Understand the features and benefits of Dodge products, how they function together, and how they are assembled to provide system solutions. Assist field sales, inside sales, and customers in selecting Dodge products. Understand how RBC’s customers make money and how Dodge branded products can assist customers in attaining their financial goals. Be able to communicate effectively via phone, email, etc.. to meet customer needs.

Systems:

Experience in all MS Office programs. SAP experience preferred.

Education and experience: 

Minimum 3 years’ experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
