Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

 

Our Smart Grid/Grid Monitoring Solutions Product Management team is looking for a Product Specialist to help support the growth of smart grid solutions in the Americas market. This role reports to the Product Manager-Smart Grid Solutions Americas Region and is under the Smart Grid /Grid Monitoring Solutions segment, TE Energy business unit. This role’s goals will be aligned with the product management team goals. This role also works closely with sales, customer care, and manufacturing teams to provide overall product support to grow the product lines to help meet sales and profit targets of the business.

 

As a Smart Grid Solutions/Grid Monitoring Product Specialist, your main responsibilities will be:
•    Provide technical and commercial support to internal (sales, product management production, and engineering) and external customers for all the Smart Grid/Grid Monitoring Solutions Products.
•    Interpret customers' specifications to select or create the correct TE Smart Grid/Grid Monitoring Solutions Product for their application and provide technical product support.
•    Support developing specifications and sales support materials including but not limited to installation instructions, data sheets, cross references, etc.
•    Coordinate prototypes for testing with engineering and provide technical assistance to design feasibility and work with the Product Manager to make recommendations for necessary changes.
•    Manage new part number creation process for Smart Grid/Grid Monitoring Solutions Products.
 

What your background should look like:


•    Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with 3+ years' experience in related and/or technical field
•    Experience in product management, technical support, manufacturing engineering, application engineering, and/or technical sales, preferred
•    Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
•    Driven to identify and resolve issues 
•    Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $80,800 - $121,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
