Adhesives Product Specialist

Description:

The DuPont Auto Adhesives & Fluids Business is seeking a talented and motivated Product Specialist to lead and influence our global automotive adhesive product lines as we grow and innovate into new product chemistries and applications in the Electric Vehicle space.

The product specialist will lead key business and portfolio initiatives – including driving product projects of localization, location-change and raw material change. This individual will work closely with DuPont R&D, Operations, Procurement, and Manufacturing Technology (MT) group to drive the CMT (Change Management Tool) requirements in support of the management of change related to creation and maintenance of Master Data for new products.

The ideal candidate will have a heavy bias for action, strong project management and communication skills, and a balanced technical and financial acumen. Can-do attitudes and willingness to take on new challenges are also needed for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead localization /location-change projects by working with cross-functional teams.Lead raw material change projects. Partner with procurement to analyze, identify, and drive raw material cost reduction initiatives.Manage product families as required to provide cost, margin and pricing analysis, insights & recommendations and other product related supports.  Support and maintain AP PMR list and run project portfolio analysis. Facilitate AP gate review meetings.Lead new product commercialization through the CMT process and manage the product portfolio to prioritize tasks and enable product commercialization and launch.Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the CMT process (both Product Set Up & Material Data Set Ups)Collaborate with SC to Update & implement Business Service Standards to minimize inventory, air shipments and align service levels.Other product management tasks as designated.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or engineering is required3+ years of proven experience in product line management, project management, business development or marketing rolesDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of global business practiceExperience leading teams and managing complex projects is desired; ability to develop and maintain strong cross functional relationships with business leaders, Sales, customer service, engineering, finance, supply chain, and operations teamsDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate (both oral and written) at all levelsDemonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Highly skilled in negotiation and influence management.Strong analytical skills, and ability to turn data into business insights and provide recommendationsProficiency in ERP/SAP system is a strong plus
