Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Product Manager in optimizing the offer portfolio and return on investment. Each day, you will ensure that ABB has full understanding of market requirements in a specific area and can transform those requirements into offer specifications and development activities. You will also showcase your expertise by performing various offer lifecycle activities supporting the development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. The work model for the role is: #LI- On-site.This role is contributing to Our Electrification Business in IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tUnderstanding and following global or assigned area standards, market and customer requirements, and their impact on the current offer portfolio.•\tConducting valuation of market size and trends, as well as competitor analyses including identification of offering gaps and evaluating ABB’s market standing.•\tEnsuring whether technical solutions can be used across the Product Group’s offer portfolio to the maximum possible extent.•\tManaging the technical specification of the assigned products and supporting the Product Manager in developing the business case on offer developments, maintenance, and cost reduction.•\tPerforming in-depth market analysis (trends, competition, standardization) and identifying customer requirements, value proposition and unlocking new opportunities for ABB.•\tTranslating customer needs into technical requirements and taking the lead within the product development or cost streamlining process.•\tActing as interface between India market and internal functions such as sales, R&D, SCM etc.•\tTaking the full responsibility for the profitability of the product ranges managed and of their development in the future.•\tInitiating and driving go to market strategy, such as launch planning and product implementation in conjunction with local sales and marketingManaging the full life cycle of respective product portfolio.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree or above, major in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics engineering or relevant discipline.\t 5-7 years’ experience in product management or product marketing are preferred.\tMarket knowledge of low voltage energy distribution- products, applications and solutions, such as enclosure. \tLeadership through influence, problem solving, team-working, communication, result orientation completes the profile.\tProven ability to meet deadlines and get results with many priorities and under tight timeframes\tFluency in English is a must, both written and spoken.
