Purpose of Role: The Product Specialist - Slurry Pumps will work collaborative with internal departments and external stakeholders to support business development, sales of products and aftermarket services, while ensuring that customer requirements are met. They will be responsible for interactions with customers to interpret specifications, select products, and provide technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Knowledge: Act as Subject Matter Expert and provide direct product expertise to customers before, during and after the sales process has been completedTechnical Support: Provide technical expertise/support relating to the application of slurry pumps within Mining/Mineral Processing systems for outside sales force, consultants and customersEquipment Selection: Interpret specifications and select equipment to meet customer requirements, including the preparation of product quotations and bids for large mining equipment packagesCustomer Support: Establish a close partnership with Sales Branches across Canada and directly interface with customers on aftermarket brownfield applications issues as they pertain to slurry pumping and transportSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering)5+ years of experience in slurry handling equipmentExperience with and in-depth exposure to mineral processing equipment and processes, including slurry pumps as well as mill circuits, tailings handling and other related slurry handling applicationsFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
