Product Stewardship & Regulatory Senior Specialist (m/f/d)

As part of a global Product Stewardship and Regulatory (PS&R) team, the Product Stewardship and Regulatory Specialist provides support to the E&I business to help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, conformance with corporate standards and in meeting customer expectations and business goals.  The role involves interacting with a large network of global business and corporate resources as well as raw material suppliers and customers. 

 

Main Responsibilities 

·        Exemplifies DuPont core values in all work

·        Develops an understanding of existing and emerging PS&R issues and their impact on the E&I businesses

·        Translates product stewardship and regulatory impacts into options to support business strategies and assists in implementation. 

·        Keeps up to date regarding new regulation and European requirements, translate it into potential business impact and communicates internally

·        Participates in business planning to incorporate PS&R activities into new and existing product management. 

·        Assists in Product Stewardship Reviews for new products, new raw materials, new applications, and changes to existing products, and tracks action items to completion.   

·        Outlines known regulatory and sustainability pros and cons for new raw materials regarding to aid product development teams’ strategic selection of materials

·        Partners with researchers and/or procurement to engage with Suppliers when necessary to collect data necessary for compliance

·        Partners with Corporate PS&R experts to provide guidance and strategies for compliance with product regulatory requirements. 

·        Responds to customer inquiries regarding product stewardship and regulatory compliance inquiries. 

·        Facilitates completion of requests from within business teams by eliminating bottle necks in processes and identifying temporary solutions if necessary

·        Identifies training opportunities with relevant business stakeholders with regards to internal PS&R standards, policies, and procedures

·        Understands and communicates product compositions and properties, hazards in use, risk management measures, compliance with regulations and standards to stakeholders. 

·        Works with business, legal and regulatory experts to prepare regulatory submissions as needed to support business and regulatory requirements. 

·        Manages European food and drinking water approvals through engagement with technical teams and reaching out for external assistance when needed.

·        Actively participates in external associations to track regulatory changes and trends

·        Demonstrated ability to frame and manage effectively a large quantity of ambiguous/complex work using risk-based methodologies.

Qualifications 

·        BA/BS/MS degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Toxicology) or Engineering, another comparable technical field or 5-10 years of business or industry experience.

·        Work experience (3-5 years) in REACh Regulations and EU Hazcom requirements

·        Work experience (5+ years) in a combination of EH&S or PS&R preferable

·        Experience with lubricants or coating products or their raw materials is preferred

·        Power Apps and/or SharePoint experience preferable 

·        Experience with EU Water Certifications and/or EU Food Contact a plus

·        Experience with SAP a plus. 

·        Computer proficiency including Microsoft® Office and the ability to manage and manipulate data in spreadsheets, databases (SharePoint) and websites.
