The Product Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product suite for higher education clients. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, assessing product performance, and developing long-term strategic plans for current and future product lines. The Product Strategist will be instrumental in understanding our client base and ensuring our products align with their needs, delivering optimal solutions and exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will bring direct experience working in a university environment, particularly within student financials or treasury services, and possess the expertise needed to bridge the gap between higher education operations and innovative product development. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across business units and will serve as an internal and external advocate for our product strategy and new initiatives. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term product strategies that align with the company's goals and address the evolving needs of higher education institutions. + Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, client pain points, and growth opportunities within the higher education sector. + Product Assessment: Analyze product performance metrics to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements or new offerings. + Client Insight: Leverage direct experience in higher education (student financials or treasury services) to deeply understand client challenges and advocate for solutions that address their needs. + Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Client Success, to align product strategies with business objectives and customer expectations. + Advocacy and Communication: Evangelize product strategies and new product initiatives internally and externally, ensuring alignment and buy-in across stakeholders. + Innovation: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, using insights to guide the development of innovative solutions for higher education clients. + Customer-Centric Focus: Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring the voice of the customer is central to product strategy and decision-making **EDUCATION:** Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience **EXPERIENCE:** Minimum 8 years' experience in Higher Education in Student Financials and/or Treasury Services Experience presenting at regional and/or national conferences **COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:** + Strong understanding of higher education operations, specifically financial systems, processes, and challenges. + Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. + Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences. + Experience working cross-functionally with teams to drive alignment and achieve results. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. + Demonstrated ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
