**The role you’ll contribute:**
As part of the Emerging Technology team based in Orlando, FL, the Product Strategy & Design Lead is responsible for driving innovation and supporting human-centered design principles for the portfolio of IT products and services for AdventHealth. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring that new products and services are tailored to meet the real needs and desires of our users and also meet business objectives. By employing mixed research methods, prototyping, and iterative testing, this HCD professional will gather valuable insights that drive the design process. Their focus on empathy and user experience helps create solutions that are not only functional but also delightful and accessible. Ultimately, they bridge the gap between technology and human needs, fostering innovation that truly resonates with people.
+ **Planning, Logistics & Coordination 15%** You thrive in a high-pace environment coordinating with cross-functional teams to generate insights and vision alignment, ensuring that user needs are consistently met throughout the planning and development process.
+ **Design Facilitation** **(10%)** You have a proven ability to plan and lead inclusive workshops, engaging participants from various roles and functions. Your expertise in facilitating discussions and guiding ideation sessions ensures diverse perspectives are integrated into the design process, fostering creativity and continuous improvement.
+ **Service/Product Design & Prototype development (25%)** You will lead the design and development of innovative services and products, ensuring they meet user needs through thorough research and prototyping. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and iterate on prototypes, incorporating user feedback to refine solutions. Your expertise in Human-Centered Design will drive the creation of intuitive, user-friendly experiences that delight and engage customers. You are also excellent at visualizing cohesive user experiences, workflows, and services.
+ **Mixed-method research, testing, data analysis and synthesis (25%)** You have extensive experience in conducting mixed-method research, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative approaches to gather comprehensive insights. You are adept at selecting and deploying the appropriate inquiry methods and tools tailored to specific project goals, ensuring robust and relevant data collection. Your skills in testing, data analysis, and synthesis enable you to translate complex data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making and innovative design solutions.
+ **Cross-functional & leadership comms & storytelling** You are an effective communicator and storyteller, excelling in conveying complex ideas clearly and compellingly across cross-functional teams and leadership. Your ability to ensure alignment and shared vision throughout the organization fosters collaboration and drives the successful implementation of Human-Centered Design innovation.

• Help shape the digital experience strategy and vision for the product
• Co-create with business stakeholders and delivery teams to understand user and business needs, identify design opportunities, and create meaningful experiences
• Facilitates stakeholders’ discussions to prepare a future path of experience innovation
• Recommends solutions based upon user research insights, product ambition, value proposition, and technical feasibility
• Create end-to-end lifecycle product designs for tools and systems including user journeys, user flows, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping and high-fidelity mockups.
• Collaborates with vendors to provide experience strategy, design guidance and ensures brand-alignment with each product.
• Collaborates with leadership and product team to set success metrics and research goals that drive product decisions and strategy.
• Generates reports and conducts data analysis to evaluate existing products and to provide stakeholders with clear insights into product performance and outcomes.
• Involved in the evaluation of vendor solutions for enterprise-wide applications with a bias for the optimal experience user.
• Stays up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements in healthcare innovations andapplies this knowledge into cutting-edge technologies strategies.
• Attends conferences and workshops, reviews professional publications, establishes personal networks.
Qualifications
**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:**
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:**
• Demonstrates executive presence with excellent communication skills (verbal, visual & written)
• Design experience creating digital experiences for software and web applications
• Proficiency designing high-fidelity UI mockups
• Experience with agile methodology and software development workflows
• Ability to deliver a UX vision with a plan for iteration that actualize the larger vision over time
• A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, creative problem solving and deliverables (e.g. user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface specifications)
• Ability to initiate and lead design discussions, and demonstrated experience in collecting and using feedback
• Experience with design sprint methodologies, or similar intensive solutioning workshop activities
**_KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:_**
• Knowledge of healthcare business objectives and strategies
• Knowledge of software development best practices
• Knowledge of testing and QA best practices
• Experience with SCRUM in an Agile environment
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
**•** **Bachelor’s degree in Visual/Graphic Design, Interaction Design/HCI, Visual Communications or related field. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 7 years relevant work experience and a current portfolio is required.**
**•** **7 years of experience gathering/leveraging insights from customers to inform design & business decisions as a product strategist, product designer, user experience designer, user researcher, or similar role.**
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:**
**•** **Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction, MBA, or a related field**
**•** **Experience working in healthcare information technology**
**•** **Experience working in healthcare operations**
**•** **Experience working in environment applying Scrum or Agile methodology**
