Product Strategy Director, Pathwell Bone & Joint - Cigna Healthcare - Hybrid

This role will lead the Strategy, Development and Execution for Cigna's Pathwell Bone & Joint solution, a flagship MSK-focused product. Pathwell Bone & Joint is driving to achieve Cigna's affordability objectives by elevating high-performing provider networks, coordinating clinical and non-clinical customer navigation, offering a digital-first care management approach, and aligning benefit incentives. Pathwell Bone & Joint has also launched an innovative network monetization strategy which allows Cigna to better capture the value we are creating in the market.

This position will lead a team of Product Solution resources with significant matrix management responsibilities.

Job Summary:

Drive continued development of the Pathwell Bone & Joint solution as Cigna's flagship MSK-focused product.

Execute on PB&J's 2025 roadmap, including delivering on its portfolio investments.

Enhance the digital-first clinical navigation capabilities and refine Cigna customer and provider service capabilities into a unified Cigna Employer solution

Understand and deliver on financial expectations (earnings, TMC)

Lead a cross-functional team of matrix partners in product, operations, pricing, provider service, clinical navigation, underwriting, sales, analytics, marketing, reporting and others to actively design new solution concepts

As needed, conduct market testing of new concepts with clients, customers and/or providers

Develop product roadmap and communicate progress against goals to executive leadership

Determine components / capabilities needed to enable the solution concepts

As needed, collaborate with corporate development on potential vendor partnership strategies that will enable the solutions

Develop press releases and sales material to market the new concepts

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required / MBA or Advanced Degree Preferred

10+ years of experience within the healthcare industry

Product Solutions experience preferred

Knowledge of Cigna segments, products and supporting platforms preferred

Trusted team player with proven ability to foster and manage working relationships with matrix partners

Creative thinker with ability to think outside the box and translate ideas into actions; ability to demonstrate problem solving skills

Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work with frequent shifting priorities and due dates

Ability to work independently

Proven oral and written communication skills across various levels of the organization

Proficient in PowerPoint, excel and word

Demonstrated ability to drive results with sense of urgency

Travel up to 25%


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 158,300 - 263,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
