In this role, you will be responsible for designing, underwriting, and pricing products tailored for our key digital and omni-channel partnerships. You will collaborate with a robust technical underwriting and actuarial team and engage with cross-functional groups, including Business Development, Account Management, Digital, and local business teams, to drive growth and enhance our presence through multi-market Strategic Digital Partners in South-east Asia.
Responsibilities:
Define product vision, propositions, and customer experience working with executive stakeholders. Determine product viability considering addressable market, customer insights, development cost, distribution method, and underwriting P&L. Develop a deep understanding of the business of our partners; continually identifying opportunities and gaps to increase the relevancy of our offering and improve insurance penetration. Apply tools and methodologies to glean market trends, competition, and consumer behavior insights. Translate business needs into product/proposition requirements and communicate those needs to the Scrum Master. Manage timelines and budgets to agreed parameters. Monitor products post-launch for purchase propensity, customer stickiness, and NPS. Drive product viability assessments with clearly defined exposure analysis and product pricing to feed customer affordability analysis. Model using traditional and non-traditional data, including third-party data sources. Model product P&L's. Focus on sustainable product development that will drive long-term growth and profitability. Work closely with digital teams and key account managers in effectively pricing and building unique coverages for our partners and end consumers. Deliver pricing and coverage parameters to agreed timelines. Focus on building products that can deliver enhanced customer experience, one of the core values for Chubb. Communicate and collaborate with Chubb stakeholders at country, regional, and global levels. Ongoing assessment of market opportunities, development of business cases, and assessment of competitor activities and products. Build relationships within all levels of Chubb’s Asia Pacific region and global teams to facilitate product worthiness, relevancy, and speed to market. Develop the skills and knowledge of underwriters within the Asia Pacific region. 10-15 years of underwriting or actuarial experience in Accident & Health, Personal Lines, or other consumer products. 2-3 years in digital, consumer technology business, or e-commerce business. Track record providing thought leadership, driving outcomes through internal key stakeholder management, and external partnership engagements. Experience taking products and propositions from concept to implementation. Advanced level of SAS and EMBLEM is an advantage. Customer-first mindset and approach to product development. Self-motivated and seizes opportunities to make a difference. Thought leader and team player, comfortable working in a less structured environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels. A hands-on business builder, natural problem solver, who can make decisions and prioritize initiatives effectively. Experience in the insurance industry, fintech, insurtech, or end-to-end consumer digital experience is advantageous. Willingness to travel and participate in remote meetings with stakeholders in other time zones.
