Job DescriptionDefines and executes validation test methods and test plans for system level test, circuit marginality, and/or product platform validation (PPV) to ensure testability and manufacturability of Intel products. Drives test planning, execution, data analysis, builds automation and regression scripts, and creates automated verification flows. Understands circuit marginality validation requirements, including process parametric coverage needs within specs, and acts on the marginalities to increase quality such that corrections are put in place to catch the failures. Identifies failure suspects with stress tests and performs debug to root cause issue. Diagnoses and identifies systems issues and designs and validates solutions for complex problems and looks for improvements. Develops and debugs complex test methods and works with software and integration teams to resolve issues and drive quality at the source. Works with architecture, design, and silicon validation teams, process engineering, and volume manufacturing factories to track postsilicon validation efforts and track program readiness. Works with software teams to evaluate integrated system performance and to test and characterize HWSW interaction and device performance at various operating conditions. Develops and executes validation methods and plans for timing and power models for products including FPGA, transceiver, and multichip packages on bench or automatic test equipment. Contributes to the product health indicators (PHI) definition and test whole reduction of defects per million (DPM) for quality. Defines ondie thermal requirements including thermal profile characterization. Provides integration and test support and works with developers and other team members to integrate software with existing enterprise services. Defines testing methodologies and solutions to support manufacturing at the platform level. Evaluates, validates, and contributes to new test equipment for platform production and maintains test frameworks and related infrastructure. Creates system validation documentation including risk assessments, validation project plans, user acceptance tests, and reports.QualificationsResponsibilityIn this position, you will be responsible for defining x-platform/product software and hardware test strategies plans for Product Platform Validation (PPV) / System Level Test (SLT) test programs/contents for Server/SOC/Chipset products. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- Developing PC system based test programs and test suites- Developing test methodologies for new device features and functionality- Leveraging best known methods of core enabling technologies- Working with cross-organizational teams on the electrical HW/SW design, integration and validation of system level control systems- Analyzing both hardware and software architectures to develop PPV test requirements- Writing and debugging communication control drivers- Engaging in new product debug and characterization activities- Performing failure analysis, debugging hardware and software tool development- Interfacing with Design, System Validation, QnR, other technology development groups and high volume manufacturing factories to track program readiness Qualifications- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science- Good written and spoken English- Experienced in component/board/platform level testing development- Demonstrated knowledge in PC and processor architecture with specific in-depth knowledge of Intel CPU and PCH chipset architecture- Strong hardware and software skills on Intel architecture chipsets and CPUs- Experience writing and debugging code in Phyton script, C#, Visual Studio, Bash and Linux environment is desired- Creative and ability to solve technical problems based on personal expertise and leveraging of technical resources- Excellent communication and influencing skills, good interpersonal skills and managing stakeholder expectations with Design, System Validation, QnR and other Test Development groups in enabling platform validation activitiesInside this Business GroupThe Network & Edge Group brings together our network connectivity and edge into a business unit chartered to drive technology end to end product leadership.
