This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities & the Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Production/Administrative Assistant position at Blue Grass, KY. Responsibilities Maintains accountability and production documents for distribution. Serves as Training Coordinator Assistant for Directorate. Recommends time keeping corrective actions for organization. Uses a variety of automated systems to prepare documents for organization. Performs timekeeper duties within the Army Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes using office automation systems to accomplish work; maintaining administrative files; and Prepares correspondence for management. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes maintaining a timekeeping database; processing travel orders, and/or preparing purchase orders; process various personnel actions. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted Additional Information Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years Position is eligible for situational telework only determined by agency policy. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
