Production and Industrial - Inventory Control Coordinator
Job Description: A DAY IN THE LIFE: The Inventory Coordinator II is responsible and accountable for delivering the following: + Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and participating in environmental, health and safety (EH&S) programs. Engaged in the Safety program by working safely and identifying safety concerns and issues. + Responsible for knowledge of all warehouse inventory and shipping processes and ensures that all procedures are followed, improved upon as the need arises, and procedures are kept up to date. + Perform department activities to achieve organizational goals, shipping accuracy, shipping to schedule and material handling. + Accurately perform cycle count activities. Performs analysis and corrects cycle count discrepancies, regularly audits locations to ensure quality and accuracy and document results. + Support manufacturing by staging manufacturing materials according to order requirements ensuring delivery of said materials in alignment with the manufacturing schedule. + Connect with planning/purchasing to gain awareness of inbound volume and of materials to ship. Process in-house material requests in an expedited fashion. + Support Practical Process Improvement (PPI) at the site as applicable to work area and scope of responsibility. + Develop and complete continuous improvement initiatives. + Able to cross train as assigned. Performs other duties, projects, as assigned. EDUCATION: + High school diploma/GED. EXPERIENCE: Band 2 (Distribution): + Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field + Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers) + Proficiency in MS Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software platforms. + Strong written and oral communication skills. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: + Knowledge of computer applications and current software. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT + Work in a controlled manufacturing environment; is required to lift 25 lbs. may be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. + Ability to work safely with materials and equipment. Expose to fumes and chemicals such as raw materials, cleaners, etc. + Potential for overtime and flexible shifts + Emergency overtime may be required with little notice to ensure operational objectives
