Production Artist (Graphic Designer)

The Digital Artist will responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to clients and understanding their needs before making design and business-conscious decisions. Their designs are required for a huge variety of products for our clients. (From print to websites) They develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the client’s objectives. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines with a strong work ethic and especially a great attitude.
Qualifications Passionate about being in the right work culture Tactical understanding of marketing, including direct mail, media, pr, and promotions Ability to manage multiple projects within a variety of client industries without freaking out Undergraduate degree in graphic design or illustration with an understanding of effective page layout, color, composition and design 1-2 years experience in advertising or marketing Exceptional attention to design detail, layout, and typography to maintain brand integrity Knowledge of current digital and social media creative strategies Thorough command of creative suite programs Experience with managing assets Passionate about new digital media technologies Ability to clearly communicate project status updates and effectively present to internal members and clients Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse team
Expectations Keep pace with a high volume of setup and layout work for print and email designs Work from concepts and/or instructions to create awesome work Detail oriented, flexible and have the ability to work under tight deadlines with fast project “turn-arounds.” Assist team members in all facets of project development Possess knowledge of the web, its design limitations and technical specifications Seamless production skills Be knowledgeable and proficient in emerging digital tools and techniques with advertising and/or graphics applications. Actively share such knowledge with others in the creative department Stay apprised of new and emerging technologies, creative and programming applications for potential use for our clients
Skills Adobe Creative Suite (fundamental web design skills) working knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3 Google Apps or Microsoft Office
Requirements Portfolio of work (include as personal website) Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (all three are a requirement) Previous design experience in an agency environment Relevant digital marketing knowledge and experience
