Production Assembler

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Assembler will be responsible for using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble the final product. The Assembler will be expected to read and interpret work orders, parts list, and sales orders as well as position parts and examine connections for the correct fit. The Assembler will also perform repairs as needed and report errors in the assembly line.

Essential Job Functions

Refer and adhere to manufacturing calendar for up to date production scheduleUse hand and light duty power tools to assemble productCheck build kit for accuracy of partsBuild out order to customer specificationsEnsure machine quality according to specificationsFollow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality SystemFollow detailed assembly instructions, processes and proceduresComplete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirementsEnsure all parts are fitted and installed properly and report errors promptlyMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions

Essential Skills and Experiences

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredBasic reading, writing, computer and arithmetic skills requiredBasic computer skills and standard application program knowledgeAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsWillingness to perform assembly operations in multiple work stationsWillingness and ability to work overtime when requiredAbility to lift/handle up to 50 lbs. daily and follow all safety and company rulesDemonstration of a positive can do attitudeAbility to work independently and in a team environmentParticipates as an active member of the production assembly team
