Hiring for a Production Assembler!!

Location: Saint Charles, Missouri

Pay rate: 18-19

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders to machine both metallic and non-metallic pieces. Your responsibilities will include trimming, drilling, routing, lining up, and assembling materials, as well as working with forming machines and pressesYou will also be responsible for setting up and breaking down production tools and aids, using various measuring equipment to check parts, and following work orders and setup cards.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate machine tools (lathes, mills, boring machines, grinders).Trim, drill, route, line up, and assemble materials.Work with forming machines and presses.Set up and break down production tools and aids.Use gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring equipment to check parts.Perform daily maintenance on machines (maintain fluid levels, empty chips, clean machines).Check and monitor parts during production.Deburr and blend machined parts.

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in operating machine tools (lathes, mills, boring machines, grinders).Ability to trim, drill, route, line up, and assemble materials.Experience with forming machines and presses.Capability to set up and break down production tools and aids.Proficiency in using measuring equipment (gauges, scales, calipers).Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math calculations.Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of the aerospace industry preferred.Trade school training in machining practices preferred.

Work Environment:

Assembly/Machine Operating.Standard shift: Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm.Mandatory overtime may apply, including potential 12-hour shifts.Non-climate controlled environment, can be dirty and hot in summer.PPE required: steel-toe shoes, eye/ear protection.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.Facility has 12 work centers, 3 teams, each with a lead.Work includes handling Gulfstream parts, finishing stringers for fuselage, and Boeing 777 projects.Employees rotate every 3 months to different work areas to avoid burnout.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
