Production Assistant

**What you'll bring to the team**
The Entertainment Production Assistant will collaborate with the Entertainment Management team to ensure the successful execution of entertainment production activities at LEGOLAND New York Resort. This role involves administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, time card approvals, and coordination of resources for the stage management team. The Production Assistant will play a key role in planning and facilitating auditions, onboarding, and training for MC’s across the resort. The Production Assistant will support the Entertainment Department in the day-to-day operation of the resort and coordinate and participate in production planning of shows and Entertainment experiences while maintaining the highest standards of departmental operation. This role also will also cover as Stage Manager for park offerings and be trained in technical aspects of productions.
**Key Objectives:**
1. Collaborate with the entertainment team to ensure the successful execution of entertainment production activities.
2. Assist in the planning, preparation, and facilitation of auditions, onboarding, and training for MC’s resort-wide.
3. Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling rehearsals, mapping MC’s operation schedules, and providing training updates.
4. Work with the Operations Stage Manager team to ensure the smooth prepping for rehearsals and production documentation/recording.
5. Foster a safe, positive, and professional work environment.
6. Assist operations in maintaining show quality as needed.
7. Serve as Department Duty Manager and active Resort Duty Ambassador.
**Main Responsibilities:**
1. Work closely with the Entertainment Management team to facilitate training for various MC’s tracks resort-wide.
2. Collaborate with Entertainment Management to facilitate auditions and onboarding for incoming MC’s as well as assessments and evaluations.
3. Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling rehearsals, mapping out MC’s operation schedules, payroll documents, and providing training updates.
4. Foster a safe, positive, and professional work environment.
5. Ensure all show footage and assets are archived and recorded in an organized manner.
6. Produce special projects/experiences as assigned.
7. Work with Entertainment Leadership to create Production Books for shows, including look books, scripted, and call sheets.
8. Liaison between numerous departments to develop or remount various event offerings, working with technical, costuming, operations, etc.
9. Schedule breakout meetings with Entertainment Management to ensure stage managers and directors are prepped and prepared for upcoming rehearsals.
10. Adhere to internal compliance with maintenance, safety, and security procedures following established codes and regulations.
11. Provide oversight to the installation of all Core & Consumer offerings.
12. Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Security policies and procedures.
13. Understand and report any new risks to the appropriate manager.
14. Timely reporting of incidents or accidents to the duty manager.

**Qualifications & Experience**
1. Previous experience in entertainment production, stage management or related field preferred.
2. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Knowledge of safety and security procedures in an entertainment setting.
6. Familiarity with audition and onboarding processes for MC’s.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
8. Experience with UKG Pro or other scheduling applications.
9. Experience in Microsoft Suite applications.
**Background and Experience:**
1. Requires experience in Theatre, Performing Arts, Events, or equivalent experience in Stage Management or Stage Direction.
2. Preferred experience in Theme Park Entertainment.
3. Must have full/flexible availability, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
4. Must possess demonstrated leadership abilities.
5. Self-motivated and has demonstrated initiative.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and dedicated to providing outstanding guest service.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in theatre/performing arts or related field or equivalent professional
Work Environment: Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces. Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Must be willing to work flexible hours,
including evenings & weekends to support Resort operations. Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures.
