Production Associate

Job Description Summary

This position will be on either 2nd or 3rd shift. 2nd shift hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
3rd shift hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Manufacturing Associates are responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment and/ processes. This is only done with Safety maintained as a priority and secondly to our internal and external quality and environmental standards/requirements. This is a very hands on and fast paced position.

Job Description

Manufacturing Specialists are required to understand and/or practice the following skills for their areas:

Safety.Housekeeping 7-S.Quality  Internal ExternalUnderstands importance of OperationProductivity  GoalsProper Machine Operation.

Use the following documented procedures and instructions as required:

Standard Operating Procedures.Rework Instructions.Work Instructions.Preventive Maintenance Instructions.Inspection Instructions.Reaction Plans.Process Set-up Instructions.Associate Handbook.

Review and verify the Quality of products at their assigned process and provide feedback to Module Team Leader, Quality Specialists, etc. to keep everyone in tune with the process.

Rotate to the appropriate operations when assigned by Module Team Leader or Crew  Manager.

Facilitate communications:

Between operations within assigned Module.

Between Modules.

Between crews.

Provide relief to other employees as required.

Assist Utility Specialist with changeovers / setups at required operations.

Complete Operation Productivity & Pareto sheets and verify the following for accuracy:

Total pcs. good and total pcs. scrap.Feedback on process and operation.

Required Skills and Education

High School Diploma or GED preferredOne (1) year experience in manufacturing operations preferred
