1st Shift: 6am-4pm Monday-Thursday and occasionally Fridays
I. Primary Responsibility
* Preps bundles of cartons for printing, stacks and feeds cartons onto printer and/or stacks finished cartons in required bundles.
* Cleans and preps printing plates before and after using on printer.
* Manually wrap cases if shrink tunnel is not in operation.
* Checks quality of boxes and communicates to printer operator if an issue arises.
* Uses manual pallet jack if required to move boxes into proper placement for printing.
* Transfers cases from conveyor line onto pallets to be wrapped and staged for shipment to customers.
II. Safety Procedures
* Has been given safety instruction on proper use of:
* Steel toed safety boots
* Eye Protection
* Proper lifting
* Conveyor safety
* Martor knife or Kleever Exchange knife
* Emergency procedure for fire or tornado evacuations
* Keep areas clean and free of debris, wrap, and straps.
* Has been provided daily safety checklist for operation of PIT.
III. Housekeeping
* Knows area of housekeeping responsibilities and maintains a well-kept area by general sweeping, mopping, and cleaning machine.
IV. Manufacturing Process
* Ability to use fork truck to unload units from floor and load them into trailers.
* Ability to read master to determine complete or partial orders.
* Stretch wrap individual units as needed.
V. Equipment Operated
* Fork truck
* Waste baler
* Printer
* Manual pallet jack
VI. Quality-Standards -checks and ensures that the following are met:
* Boxes are stacked neatly.
* Quantity per case is correct.
* Quality is checked and confirmed.
VIII. Corrective Action
A. Contact supervisor if necessary
VIII. Communicates with others using hand signals, beeping forklift horn, or verbally
IX. Preventative Maintenance
* Charges and adds water to battery as needed.
* All other things are handled by maintenance crew.
* Must perform pre-shift PIT inspections.
X. Educational Training
* Must be able to read, write and use basic math.
* 8TH grade education
* Must be able to read and understand a tape measure.
