Production Associate
**Job Title: Production II** **Job Description** Jobs and stations will change daily. All tasks are very repetitive, using up to 20 machines that rotate as needed for orders. Tasks include working in the plastic or steel area of the shop, deburring steel, moving products, and boxing production. Employees will support welders and operate various machines set up by the Charge Hand. **Work Environment** The shop floor has 35 employees, with two departments: Metal and Plastics, each with 15-20 people. Laborers, machine operators, fabricators, and welders work in a closed indoor environment with 20+ different machines. The dress code is long pants or shorts. The company is a metal and plastic manufacturer of display units for well-known companies across North America. **Responsibilities** + Operate machines by placing racks in settings and stepping on foot pedals to operate/weld, repeating tasks 20-200 times depending on order. + Crimp metal sheets by feeding them into a machine and stepping on a foot pedal to create bends, repeating tasks 20-200 times. + Set up angles on tube cutter machines, place metal pipes, and use a saw to cut pipes, repeating tasks 20-200 times. + Sand edges of metal tubes on a belt sander, repeating tasks 20-200 times. + Move parts from the welding station to prepare for shipment. + Assist welders and move parts around the floor to be worked on. + Use power tools to clean up machined parts. + Count products and ensure accurate shipment. + Pull products off machines and stack them into boxes for shipment. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment (metal/plastic/woodworking). + Comfortable using hand and power tools. + Ability to keep count and ensure accurate shipment. + Self-motivated and able to perform repetitive work. + Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a manufacturing environment, understanding processes, and safety procedures. + Experience in construction, woodworking, or plastics industry. + Forklift experience or certification. **Why Work Here?** This is a Union shop offering job security.
