Position: Production Associate I
Location: Chestnut Hill, TN
Shift: 8-hour shifts either 2nd or 3rd shift
Salary: $26.16/hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

Collaborating closely with other departments and teamsHaving the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot problems and situationsMaking incremental process adjustments, monitoring and reporting quality of manufactured productPerforming all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policiesCritical thinking and troubleshooting skills to set up new jobsMaintaining a safe, clean and organized work areaPerforming all duties as designated by supervisor/managerHelping other departments as needed

We expect you to be Sonoco mission-drivenPrevious experience in packing/warehousing is extremely helpfulYou have to have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasksYou must be willing to work outside of regular shift hours including weekends if production or customer demands require itBeing reliable, having good initiative, being committed and quality-focused is a mustTo succeed in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is neededYou will need to be able to lift up to 25 lbs. as neededHaving the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to successYou will need to have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructionsYou will need to be able to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of timeYou will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail
