Production Associate - Second Shift

Job Summary
This position is a Production Associate - Second Shift for our facility in Englewood, Colorado. 

Essential Functions 

Follows and complies with all safety, work rules and regulations.  Maintains departmental housekeeping standards. Sets up and starts all secondary operations within the manufacturing area. Checks all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures. Refers issues/problems to Lead/Supervisor for disposition. Accurately supplies/supports Production Operators with appropriate materials/functions to efficiently keep all equipment operational. Performs all required machine cleaning. Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards. Completes and maintains required paperwork and/or documents. ​​​​​​​Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalency. Six (6) months to one (1) year of industrial/manufacturing experience

Qualifications

Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/material identifications.  Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small group situations. Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, hand trucks, fork lift, utility knife, and mixer/secondary machinery and computer equipment. Demonstrate ability to rapidly learn the operation and set up of industrial machinery per operating procedures while following all training and plant procedures. Computer literacy

Salary

$22.50 per hour

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; talk and/or hear. Occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally handle up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities may be required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with the exception of high noise areas. Proper personal safety equipment needs to be used while performing this job and that equipment is dictated by the plant safety guidelines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk of electric shock, vibration, non-hazardous chemical agents and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
