Production Associate - Solder

POSITION:                   Production Associate – Solderer - 5                                                                          

REPORTS TO:              Cell Team Leader                               

AREA:                          Production                                          

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school education or equivalentAbility to read and understand assembly documentationHand dexterity and hand/eye coordinationVerbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of related tools and equipmentWorks well in team environmentIPC-A-610 certificationIPC-J-STD-001 Certified in soldering for both Thru-hole and SMTCertified for Rework – Thru-Hole level 1 through 3Certified for Rework – Surface Mount level 1 through 3

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Assemble and inspect electrical panels/circuit boards/assemblies per related documentation and drawingsTrim and form leaded partsUse a soldering iron to build basic electrical assemblies per the related documentationProperly fill out production documentationCommunicate with Cell Team Leaders on parts shortages and problemsFinal assembly and/or pack and ship as requiredRotate to different workstations and different cells as neededAs required – complete hour-by-hour forms or other documentation for cycle time/performance analysisComponent preparation, placement, and installationMechanical assembly as requiredParticipate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularlyPerform hand soldering, inspection, and touch-up of thru-hole/SMT, mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standardsPerform rework of thru-hole/SMT, mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standards
