Description

Fluidra is looking for a Production Chemist to join our team in Sparks, MD.  WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE   The Production Chemist will be responsible for performing chemical batch preparation, following a predetermined recipe to mix or produce reagents, and monitoring the quality of finished goods produced in the Bottling Department. Work will be coordinated with the Department Supervisor, Lead, and Production Controller.Duties and Responsibilities  Set up and operate mixing equipment for the blending and compounding of raw materials to produce specific liquid and powder reagentsEnsure quality of reagents using lab equipment and perform tests on products to make sure they meet standards and specificationsFollow safety policies and procedures when handling chemicals to include proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Record all data on batch prep sheets and production in the ERP system.Interface with ERP system and Department Supervisor and/or Lead to ensure accurate inventory of raw ingredients.Inspecting the accuracy and quality of finished goods produced on the automatic and semi-automatic bottling lines.Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures and rules.Contribute to team effort by working where needed on the production floor.Must be able to work extended hours when required and stand for long periods.  WHAT WE SEEK  Minimum Qualifications      Knowledgeable about fire, safety, and chemical hazards.Able to lift 50 lbs.Standing for long period                                                                                                                         Impeccable organizational and cleanliness skillsGood oral and written communication skillsStrong computer skillsGeneral chemistry knowledgeSelf-motivatedAble to perform under tight deadlinesPreferred QualificationsLab or production experienceERP experienceMechanical aptitudeEDUCATIONAssociate degree in chemistry, an applied science, or related fieldBachelor’s degree in chemistry, preferredRelevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeWHAT WE OFFER  This an exciting opportunity to dive in and begin your career with a company that offers a competitive total rewards package that includes the following:  Full range of health benefits including medical, dental & vision, short & long-term disability401(K) matching (100% of the first 3% contributed, 50% of the next 2%)Health and wellness programs/gym reimbursementEducational assistance of up to $7,000 per yearCompany-sponsored FUN events!Generous product discounts  WHO WE AREFluidra is a publicly listed company focused on developing innovative products, services and IoT solutions for the residential, commercial and wellness pool markets, globally.
