Under the direction of the supervisor and in coordination with maintenance lead personnel, is responsible for collecting, editing and submitting maintenance data into a government provided automated maintenance management system. Directly involved in planning, coordinating and scheduling maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion of servicing, repairs and modifications on supported equipment. Order and track repair parts for specific work orders as well as for bench and shop stock repair parts. The period of performance for this position is not to exceed more than one year, may extend to fulfil mission requirements. Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs duties in accordance with TAMMS, DA Pamphlet 738-750 and DA Regulations 700-138, 735-5, 750-1 and 750-8. Assist the Production Control Lead, if assigned, shop supervisor and / or the appropriate maintenance lead in establishing production schedules based on known requirements and customer liaison. Assist customers submitting work orders in a hospitable and professional manner. Process work orders into SAMS/ITDA from initiation through completion and provide supervisory personnel timely progress information. Maintain general publications library, standard operating procedures and government directives and regulations. Advises supervisor and lead personnel on work order priority issues. Provides the supervisor maintenance reports and statistical performance data. Coordinates with supply personnel for the timely receipt of repair parts and supplies to meet customer work order completion priorities. Performs all other duties assigned as required by contract with the customer. MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: May be required to operate a forklift or other related material handling equipment. Safety shoes and other personal protection equipment such as Face Mask, safety vest, hard hat, gloves, and eye wear may be required dependent upon assigned work area. Personal computer, printer, calculator, fax machine, copy machine and other general office equipment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. A normal work week is 40 hours (5 days a week). Must be willing to work additional hours when mission requires. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Work requires sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending and routine lifting of equipment and boxes in an office environment. Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School graduate or GED. Knowledge of automated data input systems required. GCSS-Army Certified. Must have or able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Valid state driver’s license is required. SKILLS: Familiar with maintenance regulations; specifically, DA Pam 750-8, Functional User's Manual for The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS). Requires a minimum of two years of related experience in work production control. Working knowledge of GCSS-Army is required. Position requires a general familiarity with computer input elements to perform functional activities such as data entry, data verification, transaction preparation and reprocessing of corrections. Possess the ability to understand SOPs, Work Instructions, Army Regulations, Technical Manuals and applicable Department of Defense forms. Exhibit ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Must be eligible to obtain a forklift operator’s license and have a valid State Driver’s License. Ability to deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Apply telephonic etiquette when working with customers. Inputting data accurately is a paramount responsibility.
