Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Production Control Coordinator to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for working with the manufacturing manager to execute the sequence in which jobs are scheduled to be run per the master schedule. The sequence will consider such factors as combined set‑ups, tooling availability, and work center loads. Must exercise judgement in reconciling day‑to‑day conflicts between plant efficiency, utilization, and customer service; communicate anticipated delays to the Master Scheduler and Production Control Dispatchers; monitor schedule capacity reports and input/output reports to ensure continued availability of work in‑process. Overall responsibility for making all jobs workable regarding parts/material, engineering, tooling, etc.

Essential functions:
Responsible for keeping valid due dates and priorities per Master Schedule. Once job orders are released, responsible for dispatching them to Manufacturing. May only dispatch orders with either no part shortages or ensure shortages are filled prior to production operation beginning on missing material. Objective is not to delay production due to material shortage. Responsible for reviewing all material requirements and ensuring delivery to the correct work center. Responsible for preventing problems and keeping jobs running smoothly on the shop floor. Coordinate the priority plans of the Master Schedule with Manufacturing via the Capacity Planning Tool. Review the computer‑generated Capacity Plan as necessary to reconcile capacity shortfalls or conflicts by building a contingency plan. Monitor MRP requirements and take necessary steps to keep priority plans on schedule. Update the Master Scheduler regarding problems that could adversely affect the Master Schedule. Coordinate with purchasing on parts deliveries. Communicate with manufacturing need dates to feed back this information as required to manufacturing personnel. Attend part shortage meetings and determine what action is required. Disperse this information with the action required to appropriate personnel to resolve the problem. Demonstrates enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established policies to achieve overall objectives of this position. Education:
High School Diploma plus AAS degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred, or 2 years’ related experience in lieu of degree.Experience:
Two years’ experience in production / inventory control and manufacturing operations, with one year as Expediter or Production Control Clerk/Planner preferred. Experience with MRP/ERP software to maintain accurate information on the Job Order Report and Capacity Planning Report needed. Excellent Excel and Microsoft software experience required.Physical Skill & Effort:
Requires highly skilled, precise, complicated, and/or difficult manual skill. Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion.
Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible or no exposure. Must be able to access all areas of the plant both inside and outside. Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt and welding fumes.
Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and/or required personal protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes.
