As agents of the Presiding Bishopric of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Publishing Services Department produces materials and messages that invite all God's children to follow Jesus Christ. This role assists with the production coordination of published materials ensuring that predefined and established processes, budgets, timelines and standards are followed.
Incumbents in this role will coordinate work with project team members across divisions, interfaces with established vendors and other stakeholders and project managers. Frequently reports to project managers on the status of product completion. Work is regularly reviewed by supervisors. May assist with vetting, selection and setup of vendors/contractors. Is NOT expected to act as primary contact to customers or manage large/complex projects. Routinely works within established parameters and defined operating outcomes.
Role is an intermediate-level professional individual contributor.
This is not a physically demanding position such as having to lift heavy objects. It does require long periods of mental stamina being able to concentrate on computer screens and desk work for long periods of time. Work typically occurs in an office-type environment. Must be able to prioritize and perform work in a high stress, demanding environment being able to work on multiple projects involving numerous players. Capability of quickly adapting to frequently changing requirements, deadlines, and demands, all controlled by individuals outside this position. Meeting established timelines and budgets are critical to successful completion and performance. Communicating with other individuals and working together and collaborating as a team are essential.
On-call work is sporadic in nature and hours will fluctuate from week to week based on business needs. There is no minimum number of hours expected and typically work will not exceed 15 hours per week, on average.
