JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News is looking for a Production Coordinator with excellent logistical, organizational and communication skills to join our NY team. You are a friendly, energetic, positive customer service-focused individual who has an interest in remote broadcast productions.

You will be working with the departments that deliver broadcast-quality interviews and live shows to multiple platforms. As the Production Coordinator, you will partner with our team of Production Managers to coordinate all facets of planning remote shows and news coverage. You will be assisting in all aspects of the production from concept to completion including but not limited to assisting with location scouting, working with internal departments as well as external vendors as well as assisting onsite at productions.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend production meetings, summarize key takeaways/action items, and distribute notes to meeting attendees.

Handle the booking of all vendor travel (airline bookings as well as car rentals)

Oversee the onboarding for all vendors. This starts with the initial onboarding into Coupa and working with our internal departments as well as the vendor to complete the onboarding.

Inventory production supplies that are sent out on all production jobs. Pack and replenish production supply cases so they are ready to deploy on events at moment’s notice.

Maintain event calendar tracker to ensure all information is accurate and up to date. This allows the department to have a database of all events and a catalog of past venues, contacts, etc.  

Travel to production events as needed to provide onsite support for the production managers

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of professional experience

Strong logistical, communication, and event planning skills

Customer service-oriented mentality

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize on a daily basis, and especially in breaking news situations

Desire to be part of a team balancing several projects at one time with equal attention

Be a self-starter who can work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment

Must be willing to travel and work nights and weekends as needed

Be responsive to the 24/7 cable news cycle on a moment’s notice

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $24.25-28.85 per hour for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
