Summary
Custom Truck One Source has openings for Production Coordinator with background in aerial, construction equipment, and heavy & light duty trucks. They will be responsible for providing confidential administrative support to the Production Manager(s). This position ensures the efficient day-to-day running of department operations and anticipates the needs in regard to schedules, reports, and daily activities. Maintains and improves production administration processes that support manufacturing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create and enforce a safe working environment.Communicate with parts and service department to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.Schedule the production shop with upcoming builds by understanding build priorities and parts/chassis delivery dates and efficiently allocate time spent on repair orders.Create descriptive repair orders so all parties can understand the build.Communicate with multiple departments on when builds will occur and notify them of any changes in the production scheduleParticipate in morning meetings to discuss production schedules.Communicate expected completion dates with the customer and salesperson as well as answer any questions about the buildMonitor hours on jobs to ensure we are hitting quoted build times.Continually update our scheduling system and status report to monitor shop capacities.Work with our outside vendors to get pricing and schedule services to be completed.Work with parts to verify all necessary components are applied to the repair order.Invoice the upfit order and send the invoice to the customer.Close work ordersRecord results of quality control and take photos of each build after the job is completed for documentation and enter photos in the share drive.Scan and file the Vehicle Annual Inspection and Zonar Asset Management for each repair order.Update production reports as needed.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar roleKnowledge of heavy and light duty trucks and equipmentValid Driver’s License required Extremely detail oriented and accurateMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentSetting priorities and adapting to changing work priorities. Must be self-sufficient and driven.Strong attendance recordMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test General mechanical aptitude and experience with parts required. Knowledge of hydraulic, heavy equipment, diesel truck and/or farm equipment preferred.General aptitude in working with common computer software (MS Office Suite, internet, etc.) to process orders. Knowledge of inventory software (FishBowl, etc.) to process purchase orders and tracking inventory helpful.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing a positive service experience. This includes internal client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Attitude: This job requires "people" skills and a genuine desire to service the client.
