Position Summary:
The Production Coordinator assists the leadership team in driving continuous improvement through Lean events and initiatives. Drives Swagelok Production System (SPS) alignment at responsible sites. Coordinates daily production action items to enable operations to thrive in a robust LDMS environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for facilitating Lean initiatives at Raw Material and Warehouse Group (RMWG) Direct Labor sites (Impaction, OSM, & Koppel), to include but not limited to 5S Clean & Safe initiatives, Kaizen and other Lean events, and identifying and eliminating waste.
Drives SPS alignment at Impaction, OSM, & Koppel to align with company standard. Conducts SPS assessments and facilitates continuous improvement to the standard. Finds and addresses gaps, hands off solutions to operations.
Supports Layered Process Audit Program, including quarterly training of new auditors, scheduling audits, capturing action items from audits and reporting findings to management team.
Facilitate Lean Events, conduct DPS events as required, and oversees the CIAS Program to include coordination and completion of approved projects.
Attends PMT and Boundary Team meetings, provide continuous improvement updates to leadership.
Supports corporate lean initiatives as determined by Site & Corporate Lean teams.
Monitor the status of all open action items from lean events and other countermeasures. Works with the teams to complete projects on time. Emphasis on sustainment of lean initiatives.
Schedule flexibility to service off-shifts as required.
Required travel to Koppel PA on an as-needed basis.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Swagelok Raw Material operations specific to Impaction, OSM tooling & Machining, and Koppel. Understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges presented at each site.
Attention to detail, planning, technical background, both verbal and written communication, computer skills (Microsoft 365 Apps, Excel, Word, Power Point, OneDrive, Outlook, & Teams). Problem Solving, facilitation skills, multi-tasking, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge and understanding of Lean Concepts including 5s, Facilitation skills, knowledge and understanding of the DPS process.
Experience with continuous improvement tools, methods, and culture.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
