Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Generates various cost reports and conducts analyses of operational variances resulting from manufacturing activity at the Company's locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.Generates detailed cost data reports: extracts and analyzes production data to ensure the manufactured direct costs are accurate and realistic. Verifies and/or corrects weekly part cost update reports.Performs audits, investigates issues and calculates overhead costs to verify the Company's FIFO inventory costs.Participates with preparation and analyses of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Collaborates with operations to conduct an analytical review of production data.Assists with cost estimates for future products. Collaborates with Director of Finance and Cost Accountant Manager to:identify potential weaknesses and strengthen the Company's internal controls, identifying potential weaknesses and implementing necessary changes. aid in preparation of the annual budget for manufacturing operations. Assists auditors to prepare for and provides physical inventory test count reports.Performs other duties as they might be assigned. Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours. 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field4 year experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing industry  

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

Basic knowledge of cost accountingBasic knowledge of general accounting principlesStrong analytical and math skillsOrganizational, verbal and written communication skillsPC software skills, including strong Excel skills, SAP experience a plusAbility to handle highly confidential informationMust be detail orientedAble to adhere to tight deadlines Job Footer (US)
