Production Development Specialist
Your role and responsibilitiesPerform TPM(Technical Preventative Maintenance) on automated systems. Troubleshoot automated systems and tooling with minimal repair.Assist the Process Engineers with simple and creative solutions for obstacles that prevent continuous improvement of assigned lines/areas.Assist the Process Engineers in ongoing projects. Examples ( Setting up new line workstations including tooling, basic wiring, and assist engineers in buildingIdentify, report, and assist in improvements for ergonomic problemsProvide technical support to operators and/or electromechanical in equipment repairResponsible for learning how to build NPIs and teach other employees on how to build the units following standard work. Keep inventory of all materials and tools.Support Production to test and troubleshoot units as needed.Work with precision instruments. (Micrometer, meters, calipers)You must ensure that all procedures such as those set by the \"Standard Work\" of each operation are being carried out without deviation from that standard.Provide ongoing support and training to team members in standard work and \"Pull System\".Weekly meeting to report on work carried out and results.Motivate all team members to engage in continuous improvement activities.Able to self-manage their time You will need to design and build complex structures to improve the flow and presentation of metrics, using materials such as: wood, polyethylene, PBC, metals, among others, workstation installations; using automatic and manual tools.Immediately communicate unsafe conditions or accidents.Maintain clean and tidy area.Other tasks as required by the supervisor.
Qualifications for the roleHigh School diploma with 5 years of Manufacturing experience or Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field required.Microsoft Office Basic Computer and Program KnowledgeBasic electrical knowledge (follow wiring diagrams)Knowledge of requirements, regulations, and quality standardsWork independently under minimal supervision.Ability to work standing 100% of the time.Reading of schematics.Reading, drawing (parts and \"fixtures\").Ability to offer and follow instructions correctly.Compliance with standards, policies and procedures at work. Exposure to areas of heat, dust, and noise.Handles computer equipment or systems operations.Solve routine problems by following instructions and procedures.Work with \"due dates\".Basic electrical wiring skills.Use mechanisms or physical activity to operate machinery or processes. Use hands and arms to handle or manipulate objects.Perform physical activities that require considerable use of the hands, legs, and movements of the entire body, such as lifting, swinging, bending, and walking. Ability to handle buckets, material and/or 50 lbs. equipment. or less.Ability to work standing 100% of the time.Knowledge and compliance with safety standards at work.Use personal protective equipment as required:Safety shoes.Safety glasses.Gloves for handling sharp objects.Work near moving parts and machinery.Noise exposure.Exposure to vibrations.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
