Production Electrical Technician I

Job Description

Works under Machinery Manufacturing Team’s instruction and the standard procedures to set-up, troubleshoot and problem solve various MiTek machinery electrical-electronic control assembly, programming, and support for machinery production issues.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

General Description:  

This role is responsible for following production manufacturing machinery procedures, and maintaining standard work, optimizing existing and future manufacturing machinery processes, as these relate to the Electrical/Electronic Control systems on MiTek machinery. 

Collaborating with all functional groups on all existing and future NPI programs on machine building related issues as this relates to Electrical/Electronic Control systems to meet the goals of the manufacturing production department. 

Demonstrated proficiency in assembly of Electrical/Electronic Control systems, wiring, connectivity, sensors.  Programming (PLC, VFD(s), Safety and sensors are a plus. 

 

Production Functions: 

Supports the Production department to implementation of wiring, Electrical/Electronic Control systems, connectivity, sensors, programming (PLC, VFD(s), Safety and sensors). 

Collaborate with other Electrical-Electronic personnel to support and maintain a continuous flow of quality products for MiTek Machinery build operations. 

Identify, assist, and support actions for implementing cost improvements/lean projects. 

Shop floor engagement full time. 

 

Qualifications: 

Experience with hand tools, power tools, assembly, control electronics, sensors, programming techniques with minimum of (1) years of relevant experience in the control assembly mechanical/electrical/electronic skills/trades are required. 

Setup and operation of RMS Multimeter, Computer minimal.  

Programming of PLC, Safety Controls, VFD, various sensors are a plus. 

Able to follow instructions, read, understand engineering drawings/schematics or other technical documentation, and take direction from others to fabricate/assemble/wire various control systems. 

Observe guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for self and others. 

Knowledgeable in MS Office, AutoCAD are a plus. 

Strong organizational communication skills. 

Detail oriented with the ability to work independently or within a team. 

Understanding of NFPA and NEC codes as they pertain to panel building or manufacturing are a plus.
