Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join the site Operations team. The successful candidate will work within a team of highly skilled and experienced Technicians and Engineers, while reporting into the Production Manager.

What You’ll be Involved in

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Working through day-to-day tasks as established by the Production Manager.

Supporting all production-related activities to ensure customer expectations and business goals are met.

Contribute and implement continuous improvements in product design, processes, yield and performance.

Create Production documentation and technical reports.

Contribute to regular Daily Stand-Up Meetings.

Provide production support and fault finding. 

Plan, implement and coordinate own activities against objectives set by management.

Responsibility for the support of 5S and other lean manufacturing initiatives both individually and as part of the team in line with the Teledyne Production System.

Provide on the job training for the Manufacturing Team.

Promote teamwork in developing solutions to manufacturing and development programmes.

What We’re Looking For in You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Experience of soldering/electronics essential.

Ability to follow work schedules and plans.

Understanding of technical drawings.

Experience of AutoCAD is preferred.

Experience of 3D printing is preferred.

Working knowledge of SAP is desirable.

Full training on use of specific equipment will be given but experience in the assembly and test of electronic assemblies in a similar environment would be beneficial.

Experience of meeting targets in a pressurised production environment would also be an advantage.

Good level of manual dexterity.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong listening & problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and able to work on own initiative.

What We Can Offer You

No shift work and an early finish on a Friday – the site works a standard 37 hours per week, Monday – Thursday: 7.30am – 4.00pm, (7.30am – 12.30pm).
