Job Title: Process Extrusion Engineer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Extrusion Engineer to join our team. This role involves overseeing the production process and providing oversight for two extrusion lines, working cross-functionally with operators, sales, and R&D departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in process engineering and manufacturing, with the ability to optimize efficiencies and lead process improvement projects. Responsibilities + Oversee the production process and provide guidance to production personnel in the safe operation of manufacturing equipment. + Optimize production efficiencies and manage capital projects to improve operational efficiency, production output, quality, and safety. + Utilize SAP for production documentation, closing out orders, and assisting in inventory management and reporting. + Coordinate with sales and customer service to optimize scheduling and ensure on-time production delivery. + Track production data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement. + Participate in daily production meetings with Quality and R&D to implement process improvements and necessary changes. + Provide training to production personnel on safe practices and equipment operation. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Associate's degree with more experience will be considered). + 3-5 years of experience in process engineering and improvement. + Strong understanding of extruders, thermoformers, and compounding processes. + Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with production, labs/R&D, Quality, sales, and customer service. + Experience with ERP systems and strong attention to detail. + Ability to adapt quickly and take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the plastics, food packaging, or automotive industries. + Ability to troubleshoot equipment and learn quickly. + Dynamic and flexible with the ability to shift gears quickly and take on new challenges. Work Environment You will work closely with production and manufacturing, running the two extrusion lines and collaborating with R&D and sales on new projects. The role offers a lot of autonomy, allowing you to make a significant impact and take on new challenges as they arise. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Will match 100% of the first 3% you contribute to the 401k, plus 50% of the next 2%.In addition to this employer match, employees will also be eligible for an annual discretionary contribution and match. You will be eligible for the plan following two months of service.10 paid holiday + 2 floating holidays; 1 year- 120 hours PTO; 5 years- 160 hrs; 10 years- 200 hours Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Earth City,MO.
