We are currently recruiting for an Production Engineer who will report directly into the Supervisor Tailings Engineering, this role is being offered on a 5:2:4:3 roster. The Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Boddington Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) is constructed in compliance with designs. A key aspect of the role is to develop and improve the quality of works executed, with a strong focus upon safety and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
The Production Engineer will act as a conduit between engineering design and execution phases and develop a system to maintain/improve work plans for issue to third party contractors. This system will allow for the identification of opportune work fronts with the intent of maintaining cost effective construction budgets.
A day in the life of a Production Engineer may include:
Liaise with the Engineer of Record to develop construction reports after each stageTrack the key risks to schedule compliance, including quality control laboratory testing pass rates, equipment availability and utilization, manning levels and provide reporting Schedule dam wall construction and coordinate construction of TSF wall lifts to meet operational needs as defined by the long-term strategy. Provide detailed feedback to the Supervisor Tailings Engineering.Coordinate weekly construction meetings, monthly Key Performance Indicator reviews and an annual construction close out meeting with the Construction Supervisors and Contractors.Support the project supervisor team and construction contractors to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with agreed schedules and budgets with no impact on process operations.Participate in internal audits, including the Annual Independent Tailings Review Board, and regulatory inspections, including providing all construction documentation required for the audits.Support model construction, including traffic management requirements around the facility
About you:
Tertiary Qualification specializing in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline.Experience in civil earthworks construction project management experience.Previous supervision of contracting personnel.Stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and disciplines.Strong ability to manage multiple projects and Contractors at one time, delivering construction on time and budget.Previous mining experience highly regarded.Experience in construction and operation of large tailings disposal facilities highly regarded
