For our site in **Roermond, Netherlands** we are looking for an enthusiastic **Production Engineer Intern** **(40 hours / week)** to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will take ownership of key digitalization initiatives aimed at optimizing production processes and performance tracking. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + **Digitizing KPIs** : You will be responsible for identifying, digitalizing, and monitoring key production metrics that track operational efficiency, waste, and losses. + **Promoting Data Visibility** : Working alongside the Production Manager, you will implement tools and dashboards that make production data visible and accessible to the team, allowing for real-time performance tracking. + **Training and Coaching** : You will train and guide Supervisors in the use of digital tools and dashboards to improve decision-making and efficiency. + **Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement** : You will actively support the continuous improvement initiatives, helping to standardize production processes and identifying areas for operational improvement. + **Driving Digital Transformation** : You will support the implementation of digital tools in the production value chain, automating manual processes and enhancing workflow efficiency. + **Cross-functional Collaboration** : You will work closely with other departments such as IT, Operations, and Quality Control to ensure smooth integration of digital solutions and process optimizations. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need:** + Currently studying a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in **Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering** , or a related field such as **Data Science, Automation Engineering, or Supply Chain Management** . + Proficiency in **Excel** and **PowerPoint** , with a strong ability to analyze and interpret data. Experience in VBA, **Power BI** , Tableau, and Python is a plus but not required. + Excellent command of **English** , both written and spoken.
