We are currently seeking an experienced Production Engineerin support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The position will provide Subject Matter Expertise in production engineering, advising on system readiness for production and ensuring all necessary resources and skills are in place to meet production goals. They will support manufacturing readiness assessments, monitor production metrics, and analyze data to minimize production risks and enhance efficiency. Additionally, this position will participate in project meetings and contribute to production trade-offs, risk management, and process improvements.ResponsibilitiesAdvise on system design stability and readiness for production. Assess the sufficiency of facilities, equipment, tooling, test equipment, materials, and manufacturing skills to meet production schedules. Perform production surveillance and coordination to ensure timely delivery. Analyze OEM-provided learning curve data. Develop independent learning curves to project monthly production rates for major assemblies and vehicles. Recommend process improvements and fixes related to the manufacturing of assigned systems.QualificationsSecret Security Clearance A Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or general Engineering from a college or university. May substitute Education requirement with four years of relevant production/supply chain experience in automotive or defense industry    A minimum total of ten years experience in production, manufacturing, or supply chain management within the DoD or Automotive Industries.  Experience supporting the US Army or DoD is preferred including working with/on tracked or wheeled ground combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity  (operator, maintainer, logistics, acquisition, or production).Additional Information
