Responsibilities Assume responsibility on all Manufacturing aspects in the companies PLC Process starting from the product development phase, prototype builds, production introduction through until end of life including:BOM Structures; definition and maintenance based on manufacturing steps, customer options and customisationsDefine and create production documentation required for build, test, integration, and product calibration.Initiate, Develop, implement, and maintain production procedures, workflow processes, tools & jigs for effective manufacturing of sub-assemblies, product integration & final tests. Manage obsolescence events and support 2nd source initiatives. Create and manage Engineering changes, defining changes and presenting them to stakeholders and carrying our BOM and technical drawing and document updates.
Under your role you will be required to:
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements.Working closely with the quality department, handling technical aspects of quality issues internally and with vendors. Develop and sustain process improvements and quality control systems to reduce production & BOM costs and increase yields.Provide support for outsourcing projectsSkills

At least five years as a Manufacturing/Production EngineerHNC or higher in an engineering disciplineIOSH/NEBOSH and/or be able to demonstrate through previous experience a positive attitude towards safety.Experienced in using Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerpointExperience in technical writingAbility to read technical drawingsPreferred
