Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a seeking a **Production Engineering – Phantom Works Tooling Manager** to join our Tool Engineering team in **Berkeley, Missouri** . The selected candidate will be expected to have a background and solid understanding of tool design and analysis processes, procedures, and tools. The position requires a person who has demonstrated good communication skills, is able to deliver cohesive presentations to senior managers and executives, and can develop the technical capabilities of their team. The ideal candidate will possess the business acumen to plan work, develop budgets, assign work tasks, and monitor work progress through completion. They will be expected to be champions for workplace safety and committed to achieving first-time quality for TDCC tooling products. **Position Responsibilities:** + Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering + Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals + Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements + Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports + Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes + Manages, develops and motivates employees **This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.** **This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field + 5 or more years of experience with equipment and tool engineering **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + 3 or more years of experience in leadership role (i.e., manager, project lead/manager, team lead, etc.) + Strong oral and written communications skills + Experience with FSDA assembly, design and tooling practices + ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science related field + Experience in managing employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering + Proven leadership skills + Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance **Relocation:** This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. **Drug Free Workplace:** Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. **Shift Work Statement:** This position is for 1st shift **Contingent Upon Award Program:** This position is contingent upon program award At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
