Production Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will join a dynamic and flexible team, where you will drive improvements of our electromechanical and electronic switchgears (including manual motor starters, contactors, thermal or electronic relays,). Your work will be very diverse. The tasks will vary from design over measurement, part inspection, testing, cost saving to production support. You will be often leader of the work packages or projects. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Product Group Motor Starting in Heidelberg and Hornberg Germany. Main stakeholders are Manufacturing unit of Heidelberg and Hornberg.You will be mainly accountable for: • For one or more electromechanical products as a major task• Leading projects and work packages• For a few electronic products as minor task• Implementation of parts from new tools• Continuous product improvement, e.g. design for manufacturing, design for cost, functional design • Troubleshooting in cases of increased scrap in production• Implementation of new technologies and processes and their improvements
Qualifications for the rolePreferably master’s or bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechatronics or in Mechanical Engineering Ability to demonstrate your advanced skills in design of plastic and metal parts with respect to tolerance chainSome experience with electronic devices is very beneficialA knowledge of finite element, multi-body or electromagnetic simulation or L6S tools is beneficialYou are at ease communicating in English and German
