Job Description:Assembler: Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Survey Tip: Incumbents who operate automatic or semi-automatic machines to perform assembly operations should be matched to Machine Operator (7111-7114). Solar/Alternative Energy companies should match individuals who are assembling individual cells or portions of arrays and panels here. Individuals who are operating large-scale manufacturing machinery to assemble panels and arrays should be matched to Machine Operator (7111-7114). Incumbents who are assembling test kits or similar groupings of finished items into complete packages should be matched to Package Assembler (7091-7094).

Job Summary:
 

Perform operation on assigned machines used in the production of the company’s product.  Work under the technical leadership of a Lead or other more skilled employee.  Receive periodic checks of work in process and complete inspection of final work for compliance with job standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Utilize operating work instructions, manufacturing orders, and instructions from supervisor or lead to perform production tasks.Control and adjust machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely mannerMonitor settings on machine using electronic displays and visual checksUse simple measurement instruments such as calipers, gauges, and scales to verify correct product build specificationsIdentify quality defects during production process and notify appropriate personAccurately complete traceability forms for production process as well as EHS requirementsBe able to perform operator PM functions on assigned machineAdhere to PPE requirements, to include respirator, gloves, apron, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and appropriate sleeves or Tyvek suits as neededBe familiar with the process flow of product through the assigned departmentNavigate and use basic computer programs to record necessary quality informationKeep operating area clean, which could include vacuuming, mopping, or washing down equipmentAdhere to the applicable training program for constant progress to ensure growth within the department


Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GEDAt least a minimum three (3) months machine experience or trainingMust be able to obtain forklift certificationRequired to stand for lengthy periods of time, wear mask, tyvek suit and withstand hot working environmentClose/peripheral vision requiredMust be able to read and understand manufacturing ordersBasic math and ability to use calculatorAbility to effectively communicate in English oral and written formatAbility to subtract and add four to five digit numbersMust have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ lbs.Must be a U.S. Person due to iTAR restrictions

  

Salary Range:

$29,480.00-$39,490.000
