DuPont is seeking a First Line Manager for the Towanda Plant site, located in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The DuPont Towanda Plant is a highly-leveraged film coating facility in the Electronics and Imaging business which is a part of the DuPont Specialty Products Division. The purpose of the role is to provide operational leadership for assigned areas of responsibility for core values, reliability, responsiveness, agility, cost, asset management and morale. Overview: This position provides direct line leadership to core value performance and continuous improvement for production and manufacturing support areas; interfaces with business leadership and supply chain for coordination of schedules to meet internal and external customer needs; executes against set fixed and variable cost objectives for areas of responsibility; drives expectations for adherence to policies, procedures and safety standards; drives employee empowerment and accountability; and ensures performance goals are met.
Position duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Communicates and executes business objectives, priorities, and progress across area of responsibility.
• Establishes shop floor business Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurement tracking in alignment with production asset and site business goals.
• Summarizes and leads a monthly KPI review to monitor production asset performance and address performance gaps.
• Provides leadership for improvement programs and asset productivity best practices across areas of responsibility with the use of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Drive Visual Performance Management activities in assigned areas, engaging employees in Performance Dialogues to improve performance, and lead area Decision Board(s) making project by project improvements.
• Lead daily shop floor Asset Team meetings to monitor status of core value, productivity, staffing, quality, maintenance, and scheduling execution to plan for areas of responsibility; ensure KPI and VPM systems are utilized to capture performance and drive appropriate responses to address needs
• Direct line responsibility for personnel and personnel issues, such as safety, adherence to policies and standards, operational discipline, disciplinary action, timecard approvals, personnel development and other personnel issues.
• Involvement in development and execution of the area supply strategies and support supply plans through the efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
• Responsible for executing and monitoring work for areas of responsibility to ensure priorities and target dates are met.
• Fosters Autonomous Maintenance and 5S philosophy within areas.
• Provides leadership for areas of responsibility to align with set Site / Unit Strategic Plan, implementing initiatives that will move area to a world-class competitive position.
• Sets expectations and holds people accountable for Core Value (EHS/PSM, Ethics & Respect for People) compliance and model the appropriate behavior.
• Manages processes and implements best practices to achieve excellence in Quality and Customer Service within the areas.
• Provides development, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports to foster appropriate mindsets and behaviors.
• Encourages employee’s engagement and fosters empowerment and accountability through leader standard work practices, continuous improvement efforts, and the empowerment model.
• Initiates or drives the rewards and recognition process for individuals and/or teams, and celebrates area accomplishments.
Qualifications:
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
• High School Diploma/GED/HSE
• Minimum of 3 or more years of Supervisory/Leadership experience required; preferably including Line Supervisory experience in a Process Safety Management environment
• Able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
• Able to adjust to changing conditions, prioritize and manage work processes and workforce flexibility
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Green belt certification
• SAP experience
• RCFA experience
• ISO9001/14001 experience
